Animation Festival

Animation Festival

So… I’ll be spending half the day of Halloween at some festival where they give readings about various animation companies, techniques etc. and show their work off. Not totally my thing, but maybe I’ll learn a trick or two.

Then spend the night on Mad King Thorn, since we don’t celebrate Halloween here anyway.

A comic again on Friday or Saturday.

It’s the week to basically finish all schoolwork, which is quite a bit.
Double comic this weekend if I manage, don’t be surprised if it’s only one.

Hurry up, summer vacation!

I can’t do this. I just can’t.
Been delaying Saturday’s comic all the way to today but there’s just no time drawing it (Ok, I might have a sketch or two in a notebook, but I doubt you’d like that quality)!
And forcing yourself to draw a comic will only result in a bad issue itself.

Will attempt tomorrow for a double comic, got 4 less hours of school compared to today.

Also the weather is “dirty-hot”. And I don’t like it.

Meditation of the Artist

Well after the whole London ordeal, several things changed which kinda put my real life upside down. From emotional problems (definitely not a la Shinji/Evangelion), laziness (the usual), end-of-school-period nearing and general bad situations.

HOWEVER!

After traveling through my head in a “search for myself” through deep meditation, a lot of catch-up sleeping and reading manga, I think I’m almost back to 100%.
During these travels I realized I’m in a state of boredom and have this feeling that I have nothing to do, or plainly refuse to do anything because it’s boring. And I have to kick that out of my head before I start thinking eating falls into that category (though I admit that I haven’t eaten a lot this week).
My conclusion fell upon that my Hikikomori-field was degrading and that I was craving for the outside world, how shitty it may be in this neighborhood. But that’ll be a story for another day.

To London!

To London!

Yesterday morning we returned from London. Then till dinner, I took a nap.
That was one of the best naps I ever had.
Still have a slight headache, but I’ll figure something out about the comic.

London, great place when you aren’t forced to do school assignments.
The hostel itself was kinda meh. The relax room was awesome, having a pool table and comfy chairs. The disco was too loud and our room was right above it.
And the free breakfast sucked in general. Now the bathrooms, things were growing in there.

We visited the Science Museum and another one with some earthquake-like crack in it. Forgot the name. Also did a theater-practice imagining a piece of paper was a bird and “A what? A what? A what? It’s a Tic! A What? A Tac! Ah, it’s a tac. A what?” That was some brain-cell killing practice right there with ~25 people. We managed though. The Banksy hunt was a hellhole as well. Since a big chunk of his graffiti was removed that we had to look. So hours of aimlessly walking around, we get called by another group who finds one in the sewers. Lovely. It also has a rat problem.

O' Cold Old World

O’ Cold Old World

So the more time I actually am on time to step into the tram (For you non-dutch, think the Subway. Only thinner), the more people I start to recognize. Some I rather wouldn’t though.

There are a few who just stand out.
For starters, about ~9 Asian adult males, who all step out at the same stop. No idea why, but I’ve dubbed them the “Asian Trade Federation”. They sync-walk, too. Quite funny to see them every morning.
Then there’s “Loudmouth”. He’s a kid who probably has some brain-disorder or something, as he keeps shouting randomly or (badly) singing along very loudly with his iPod. He mostly sits in front, don’t think the driver likes him much.
Somewhere near the end where I step out a girl who looks a lot like Velma from Scooby Doo steps in. So figure out how I dubbed her: Velma.

High into the Sky!

Why hello thar!
To the point: I’m thinking of working on some wannabe Webradio thingy for my personal entertainment. Well, just to kill boredom at times.
So random chitchat, LMK-Style. Maybe guest interviews here and there.
Well-discussed reviews and flaming each other to hell.

I’m wondering what you people think about the idea and if it’ll work out somehow.
Though I have no idea how the laws of the internet go against music on these things.

Signed,
Kyle.

On Wednesday, it was my birthday. You’d think I didn’t post because I was doing “Party Hard” or something. Nope, wrong.
This whole week was filled with: Homework.

You read that right, homework.
I slept 3 hours everyday. My whole birthday wasn’t a party, no. It was drawing freaking sketches for school. ALL DAY LONG.
And then Thursday comes, you think you can finally relax and.. Nope!
Work you made earlier seemed to be wrong and you have to redo it! Haha!
Same goes for today! I’m trying to laugh it off, but punching myself seems so much easier! Yup, like with Requiem: I’ve lost my Sanity.

Calling in sick

Calling in sick

I’m sick.
That is all.

..

Yes, I actually am sick. I’m not a super-human who’s resistant to colds and fevers, dammit! Hectic period as always, have to draw 2 sort-of commissions for the GWO forums soon (Yes, draw. As in, on paper. No Anivoy-chars this time, lads). I’m still picking up the ropes of coloring drawings on Photoshop (See example in the “Gwen vs Me” Requiem Filler). Really have to know where to shade and where not. Tricky bits.

I WILL get a comic up before Christmas. Heck, I even upgraded my Flash finally (From 2004 MX to 8 Prof. Screw CS3) so I can use those photoshop thingymadjits in the drawing fases. Might work better and saves time with editting in Photoshop I’d guess. Will have to see how that works out.

No, I am not dead. Just sick.
And Megatron ate a burger at Burger King. And ended up in the trashbin (True story of epic awesomeness on a boring 2-hour schoolbreak with friends. You had to be there). Though his brother, my Megatron, is dancing happily on the shelf. Next to Kingdom Hearts Cloud. Let the battle between titans begin, I say.

It's been a while..

But I finally finished the Requiem Profile Screen.
Includes the main cast, supporting characters, villains and armies/guilds.
Also a choice between 2 soundtracks ^^

Will update the thing slowly as the story progresses. Because if I add all future chars now, it’ll spoil some surprises ;)
